Such lovely weather and THE meeting is booked

Today we went out to the land and took some nice pictures with the new camera a Nikon D40. It is really a difference to take pictures with a normal pocket camera compared to the new SLR camera. A good buy we will have a lot of fun with.

Monday, march 3rd, THE meeting is booked. The meeting will give you permission to start digging. To put the first whole in the ground.

Building permit what happens next

August 2nd 2007 all the papers were sent in so the process for the building permit could start.

November 14th 2007 a letter come in the post saying it was approved. Now all could start.

Today it is February 21st 2008 and again some papers need to be sent in to report that the house is actually going to be built and informing who is being used as the quality inspector. So the house builders do everything according to the books.

The house is being delivered week 22.

A guess is that late next week the appointment with people that approved the permit can be booked and hopfylly be scheduled for the week after and then it is a green light to start digging.

A lot of trees...

Before anything can start, there is some preparation that need to be done.

First, as you can see there is a few trees on the land, at least eight big trees need to be taken down.

The land goes from where the picture is taken all the way back to them white sticks in the background.

May 31st 2007 the papers are signed and the land is bought : )

The big questions now needed answers:

What kind of house to build?

How much to spend?

Who to build the house?

Hours and hours of searching the internet ordering brochures, going to meetings with different builders looking at houses that is already built. The decision fell on Myresjöhus and a house called Mästergården with alot of changes inside.

Like most people do when they build houses in sweden they choose an overall solution and hire a company that have all the contact with the contractors involved. Saves you alot of time and problems that could occur if you had to do it all yourself.

The small house already on the land is staying, well that is the plan and wish for now. It will show in the end if it was possible or not. Need to have a place for the visitors : )
